Dillon Bell once again ready to help out Georgia football offense wherever he’s needed

Georgia’s Dillon Bell Set for Bigger Role in Backfield, Joined by Brother Micah in Running Game Push

Georgia Bulldogs senior wide receiver Dillon Bell is poised to take on more responsibility in the running game this season, echoing his sophomore year when he stepped in for an injury-riddled backfield. With Trevor Etienne off to the NFL, Bell’s versatility is once again a valuable asset as the Bulldogs rely on young backs Nate Frazier and Bo Walker.

“I’m a team player. I’ll do whatever it takes to win championships,” said Bell, who continues to grow both as a receiver and a ball carrier. Bell has upped his receptions every year, finishing last season with 43 catches for 466 yards and 4 touchdowns. He also had 107 rushing yards and a score, showcasing his dynamic skill set.

Head coach Kirby Smart praised Bell’s willingness to line up in multiple roles, comparing his impact to that of NFL star Deebo Samuel. “Dillon’s got a great attitude. Whether it’s 10 or 15 snaps at running back or slot, he wants to help the team,” Smart said.

Joining Dillon this season is his younger brother, Micah Bell, a transfer running back from Vanderbilt who also spent time at Notre Dame. The siblings have embraced the competition, pushing each other both in practice and in their off-field workouts.

“We’re both trying to get to that point where we can be great,” Dillon said. “It’s been awesome having him here — we challenge each other every day.”

As Georgia continues its spring preparations, Bell leads a receiving corps featuring transfers Noah Thomas (Texas A&M) and Zachariah Branch (USC), while working on improving his pass-catching consistency after a 12.2% drop rate last year.

With explosive play potential and a renewed family-driven motivation, Dillon Bell is ready to make a significant impact in Georgia’s pursuit of another championship season.
