Will Campbell’s one-word response on his play style should have New England Patriots fans very excited

FOXBOROUGH, Mass – Will Campbell sent a simple but perfect message to the entire New England Patriots fanbase on Thursday night after he was selected with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The new Patriots offensive tackle was asked how he would describe his playing style.

His answer: “Nasty.”

“I’m going to go out there and give everything I have every single play to protect my teammates, protect my quarterback, and just put the Patriots in the best position possible to help win games on Sundays,” he added.

That answer perfectly sums up the type of player head coach Mike Vrabel was looking to draft with New England’s early pick.

Plus, from the start the Patriots were the team Campbell hoped would call his name in the first round. And he has some good memories from watching them when growing up.

“Yeah, I mean, they always used to just dominate. Every time that I turned the TV on and the Patriots were playing, they were dominating whoever it was. Tom Brady, Danny Amendola, Julian Edelman, Gronk [Rob Gronkowski], all those guys just dominating throughout the years that I was growing up,” he explained. “So, that’s all I remember is them just winning.

So, he’s ready to help them get back on top.

“I’m excited for the future that we have in Foxborough, and I think we’ve got a special season coming.”
