In a powerful display of purpose-driven leadership, Quentin Lake, rising defensive back for the Los Angeles Rams, has personally invested $7.3 million to transform a historic property in South Central Los Angeles into a shelter and empowerment center for homeless and at-risk youth.
Lake, known for his discipline, intelligence, and tenacity on the field, is now making headlines off the field for something even more impactful—his deep commitment to uplifting vulnerable communities in his hometown.
“Football has opened doors for me, but I’ve always believed my purpose is bigger than the game,” Lake said at a press conference on Monday. “There are kids just miles from here sleeping in cars, couch-surfing, or worse—with no support, no safety, and no vision for tomorrow. This is for them.”“Lake House” to Open in Late 2026The new shelter, to be named “Lake House,” will offer safe housing, mental health care, education support, and career training for youth between the ages of 14 and 22 who are experiencing homelessness, aging out of the foster care system, or escaping abusive environments.
