Georgia Bulldogs secure Commitment from Nation’s No. 1 TE Mark Bowman, choosing Georgia over Alabama, Ohio State and Texas Longhorns in Highly Contested Decision.

ATHENS, Ga. — The Georgia Bulldogs have once again flexed their recruiting muscle, landing a commitment from the nation’s No. 1 tight end, Mark Bowman.

The 6-foot-6, 240-pound standout from Mater Dei high school, announced his decision Monday afternoon, choosing Georgia over offers from Alabama, Ohio State, and Texas.

Bowman, a consensus five-star recruit, is widely regarded as one of the most complete tight end prospects in recent memory.

Known for his elite route running, strong hands, and physical blocking, he adds another potent weapon to Georgia’s already loaded offensive arsenal.

“This is where I feel I can become the best version of myself — as a player and a person,” Bowman said in his commitment video. “Coach Smart and Coach Hartley have built something special, and I want to be part of it.”

Georgia tight ends coach Todd Hartley, who has become a national force in recruiting elite talent at the position, played a major role in securing Bowman’s commitment.

The Bulldogs continue to dominate the tight end market, following in the footsteps of recent stars like Brock Bowers and Darnell Washington.

With Bowman’s pledge, Georgia’s 2026 recruiting class continues to rise in national rankings, now sitting firmly among the top three classes in the country.

Stay tuned for updates as the Bulldogs look to maintain their momentum and close out another elite recruiting cycle.
