Philadelphia Phillies fans can officially rejoice—Alec Bohm, the beloved fan-favorite and sensational third baseman, has finally agreed to a long-term contract extension with the team, putting months of speculation to rest and reinforcing the franchise’s commitment to its homegrown stars.
The Phillies announced the deal Saturday morning in a press release that immediately sent shockwaves across the baseball world. The contract is reported to be a 6-year deal worth $88 million, locking Bohm in through the 2030 season.
Bohm, 28, has become a staple in the Phillies’ lineup and a trusted presence at the hot corner.
