After all, it’s not every day a visiting player gets such a warm reception, but Mets fans could be hoping this gesture might make Guerrero think twice about where he wants to play in the future.

If Guerrero gets more cheers than Alonso, that could stir up some buzz, especially since Alonso has had a rough season before and many Mets fans are curious if they’ll be seeing a new first baseman next year.
